NIGHT ROUTINE TO LIVE WELL INUR MIND, BODY AND SKIN

We do know that sometimes when nighttime comes it can be tough, and the only thing we want after a long day is to go straight to bed. However, adopting simple steps routine in our life can help us to reconnect with our body, mind and skin, and feel more energised in the morning.

At Inur, we believe that all is connected: if you feel good in your body, you feel good in your mind and skin as well, and our journey aims at achieving wellness at 360°.

Discover how our simple three-step night routine is the answer you needed to feel better!

1. Mind: peaceful meditation

Allow yourself 10-minutes of meditation a day before going to bed, this will let you be fully relaxed before sleeping hence, have a completely restful night's sleep. If you are new to meditation, try starting with simple steps:

  • - Create a quiet atmosphere. Lay down in your bed, make yourself comfortable, and turn on a soft light
  • - Close your eyes, breathe slowly, inhale and exhale deeply. You will feel your body starting to relax and reconnect with your mind.
  • - Clear your mind and focus only on your breathing.

Meditation practice before sleeping can be a powerful way to reconnect ourselves with our body and mind after a long day. Starting with short sessions and increasingly augmenting over time, meditation can decrease blood pressure and heart rate, while improving attention and memory, thus being beneficial for our overall health.

2. Body: good nutrition

Embrace a healthy nutrition routine to promote a dreamy night's sleep - ensuring a balanced meal, with an appropriate intake of vitamins, nutrients and minerals is essential to let you sleep peacefully and enhance the function of your body in the morning.

Our nutritionist Valérie Espinasse suggests that at night would be preferable to have a light meal, based on fruits, vegetables and legumes. Enrich your meal with vegetable oil, oilseeds and seeds to allow cell membranes to carry out inter-cell exchanges. Another good option for our health can be fasting until the next morning, to improve blood sugar control, heart health and weight loss. Hydration is key to maintaining our body and skin healthy. Make sure to have the correct daily water intake (1.5-2 litres of water a day) throughout the whole day.

3. Skin: skincare is self-care

Skin is the biggest organ of our body, thus needing particular attention when treating it. The highest number of cell divisions occurs at night (between midnight-1 am), while the lowest in the daytime (12 pm-1 pm), that’s the reason why during the night there are the optimal conditions for the skin to absorb the largest amount of active ingredients.

First step - cleanse!

Cleansing is the first and foremost step in any skincare routine. Removing the pollutants from the day, external toxins and environmental impurities will make you feel purified and your skin super fresh. To restore your skin barrier after the day, prefer a cleanser with Aloe Vera - to hydrate and soothe, and with Pre & Probiotics to rebalance and protect.

Second step - target!

Depending on where your skin journey is you may need to address different skin concerns. To maintain our skin barrier healthy, we need to provide appropriate hydration, a good source of nutrients, vitamins and antioxidants and strong protection. At night is the best moment to address and target our skin needs, applying a serum highly concentrated with active ingredients. If your skin tends to look dry, apply a  serum with an all-natural super hydrator: Aloe Vera, which will provide an immediate hydration boost to your thirsty skin. Choose a Matcha-enriched serum if your skin looks dull and in need of good nutrients. Matcha is rich in antioxidants, vitamin C and good nutrients, crucial to nourish our skin barrier and keep it healthy. No matter your age, lifestyle, nutrition habits or hormones, blemishes, breakouts, and unbalanced skin can always be around the corner. Adding a Pre & Probiotics serum to our skincare routine can help rebalance, restore and protect our skin barrier at any life stage.

Third step - renew!

We all agree that it doesn't exist a better feeling than waking up in the morning well-rested and ready to kick off the day! But we also know that things don't change overnight, unless until today!

The night is the best moment for our skin to restore and renew, and that’s why completing our skincare routine with a sleeping mask should be a must. Apply a formula enriched with all that our skin barrier needs: hydration (aloe vera), nutrients (matcha) and protection (pre & probiotics), and a sprinkle of AHA to gently exfoliate the skin. In the morning your skin will be smoothed, radiant and completely restored, and you will feel as if you just had the best sleep of your life!
